Prof Smith is the Director of the Centre for Research and Evaluation at Ambulance Victoria (AV). She is an epidemiologist with extensive experience in the epidemiological analysis of patients accessing ambulance care and in the design and implementation of clinical trials. She holds Adjunct Professorial positions with the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and the School of Primary Health Care, Monash University. She is also an inaugural member of the Monash University Paramedic Health and Wellbeing Research Unit.
